    After hearing Han Ting went through a "reinvention" my husband and I were curious to try it out. Boy, it didn't disappoint! Han Ting was one of the best restaurants in The Hague, but Zheng is extraordinary, dare to say unique in The Netherlands. This is a place where dinner is so much more than food, but a full experience. A lot of attention has been put in the concept of taking you to on a journey through traditional China, with each Chapter (course) being in a different region, showcasing traditional artwork and beautiful dinnerware. The food is complex, with each course offering about a dozen different tastes using Chinese techniques. We tasted new ingredients which we had never tried before (heard of abalone, anyone?) We chose the 6 chapter menu with a drinks arrangement and we felt satisfied but not too full. The staff was very attentive, definitely not too formal (as other reviews state), and they put a lot of effort in adapting the meal to my (pregnant) needs without feeling I was missing out on anything (best mocktails I've ever had, felt very adult, even without alcohol). Dinner was pricey, but given the fact we spent four lovely hours and tried over twenty plates, it felt worth it. Last but not least, the decoration is stunning, a very good take on chinoiserie chic, which added to the whole experience (I need blue and white wallpaper in my life now!).

    I would give 4.5, but since it's not possible and the experience was great, I rounded it off to 5. I found the whole experience delightful. We ordered the max course surprise menu and it was interesting, beautiful and delicious. What blew me away though, was the tea arrangement - those different teas were so good that weeks after and I still am thinking about how refreshing, clean and tasty they were. Only downside, the 0.5 I would not give, was that some of the service staff was a little too posh for my liking and came across slightly arrogant, which made me quite uncomfortable. If you're celebrating something special or want to treat yourself to a great experience, I would definitely recommend!

    Very expensive, but you do get what you pay for. Go here to give your taste buds a workout like no other. Amazing food.

    We opted for the 5 seasons menu for 2 with white wine. Each portion is delicate and tasted and looked more French than Chinese. Still, the presentation was exquisite, taste was sharp and there was something in each plate that we liked. In the end, we were both quite filled. White wine was superb and the staffs were friendly and welcoming. It was a memorable dinner for us.

    Had a very nice dinner here last week. We went for the special five course menu, and it was delicious from beginning till the last course, and portions were well balanced. A true journey of flavours.
