The Movies that Matter Festival, one of the world's leading human rights film festivals, will take place this year from March 22 to March 30. Like every year, the halls of Filmhuis Den Haag and Theater aan het Spui will be on display for nine days with more than 90 films, programs and debates dedicated to human rights, social issues and committed film. This year, Turkey as a country is central: with turbulent elections and the devastating earthquake still in the back of our minds, the festival sees reason for a strong film programme, panels and exhibitions.
