What Can You See?

Soulmates
You find something, you get something, you stroll around. Natascha Morsink’s studio is packed with objects she collected and found all over the place. All these objects, however, are related to one another, they are soulmates. She arranges and rearranges those objects until new abstractions come into being. She gives them a new meaning in another life on canvas, in a drawer, or in a transparent plexiglass box.

Lily Wieskamp
In how far is what you make, or what you observe, just your own memory? Where memory and the now just cannot touch each other you find the intermediate zone of Lily Wieskamp’s work. Longing for the past and loneliness in the present overlap each other. Everybody can interpret her paintings and 3-d objects in his, or her own way.

Plodding, sanding and polishing
Improvising with wood, rope and iron is typical for (of) Petra Knötschke’s work. She makes objects that can stand alone, or can be hung. Sometimes she creates large installations that can be put inside a building, or outside in a forest, park, or on a wall. But you can always see the plodding, wrenching and messing about of people. Keeping on trying, looking for solutions and always failing.
