The photography project ‘The United Soya Republic’ by photographer Jordi Ruiz Cirera shows the stories and the world behind these abstract concepts and asks the viewer: What is your responsibility as a consumer?<br />
The huge forest fires in the Amazon in Brazil have put the spotlight back on the soy industry. Photographer Jordi Ruiz Cirera has been studying the effects of the soy industry on local communities in Argentina and Paraguay since 2013 with his photography project ‘The United Soya Republic’.<br />
During this first edition of Scoop, Yair Callender talks to Jordi Ruiz Cirera and the audience about the stories and images of ‘The United Soya Republic’ and about the central question: What is your responsibility as a individual consumer in a world where people are fully connected to each other?
