Zingen in de Keizerstraat - Foto Dick Teske

Sway in time with the waves and the music of sea shanties, close harmony, pop, gospel and other genres during this unique choir weekend in Scheveningen, so aptly named ‘Feest aan Zee’ (Festival at Sea). The emphasis on Saturday 22 September will be on choirs. And on Sunday 23 September, the shanty singers will be singing their hearts out.

<strong>Feest aan Zee</strong>&nbsp;
<br />
It was exactly 200 years ago that Jacob Pronk built the first bathhouse at Scheveningen, a small wooden construction containing four seawater bathtubs. This made Scheveningen the first seaside resort in the Netherlands. The entire city will be celebrating with festivals, exhibitions and shows.
