A Unique way of meeting new people and exploring the city.
If you are passionate about photography, want to explore the city in a different way, gather impressions, mingle with like-minded and different people - this event is for you.
This event is for beginners and for advanced photographers, you can take the pictures with your phone or camera. The most important is to work together and to have fun.

Saturday 21 September 2019 at Stroom Den Haag, Hogewal 1-9, 2514 HA, The Hague. You can get the assignments between 12:15 and 13:15. The earlier you arrive the more time you have for the assignments. You can send your best pictures by email until 16:30 or give them to us at Stroom between 15.15 – 16.30
The Haque Photo Discovery is a game that you can win. With a group of photo enthusiasts you will look for locations and do photo assignments on the spot. You will discover new places and even familiar places would look different to you under the angle of the assignment. At a later stage, the jury will choose the best series of pictures for an exhibition with an opening party and we will make a small book of the winning pictures. The Haque Photo Discovery gives you an opportunity to see the city in a unique and different way thanks to original assignments. There are 10 photo assignments on 10 locations. For each assignment there is one group with winners.
You will receive a map with a route of 10 locations indicated on it. At each location each member of the team does an assignment which is described for this specific location. You can use your camera or phone. Each member of the team needs to make 1 photo per assignment. Then combined photos of each member will contribute to a team series. E.g. if your team consists of 3 people, then you will deliver 3 photos per assignment. You need to deliver photos indicated with your name (only for your own photos), the letter of your team and the number of the assignment. In case you miss one assignment, it is ok, your group can still be a winner for the assignments that you managed to do. You can make your own order and sequence of locations or assignments. You can send your photos by email or deliver them in person at Stroom Den Haag between 15:15 and 16:30. If you want to deliver photos in person, ensure that you are at Stroom before 16:15. Take into account that there might be some waiting time. Participants who didn’t deliver their photos by 16:30 will be disqualified from the competition. Ensure that you are part of the team which aims to visit the same amount of locations as you. If you don’t succeed to visit all locations and/or do all the assigments, that’s not a problem. You can be a winner per assignment. It’s important that you agree with the team in case you don’t manage to visit all locations or do all assignments upfront. Before you start you decide in the team how many locations/assignments you would like to do. There are short and long routes to choose from. Be sure to select the suitable route for your team.
