Clara Schumann-Wieck was born exactly 200 years ago. She enjoyed international fame in her time and booked immense success at home and abroad. Her work as a composer came in addition to household and book-keeping duties and to looking after her husband and family.

With this programme Dutch soprano Helmi Verhoeven and Italian pianist Beatrice Sterna want to pay homage to this impressive woman. They will share with you a large number of the surviving songs by Clara Schumann-Wieck, as well as songs by her husband Robert Schumann and family friend Johannes Brahms.

Admission free – donations to the Organ Restauration Fund of the Deutsche Evangelische Kirche much appreciated.
