Exhibition
Bob Eikelboom

The playful and slightly mocking work of Bob Eikelboom suggests a certain audacity. Eikelboom took the art world by storm at a young age with his magnet paintings – coloured steel plates on which magnetic shapes had been mounted. Eikelboom challenges his viewers to play with the composition, which is endlessly mutable, thus raising questions about conceptual art. When is an artwork finished, and who is the maker? These questions will be the focus of an exhibition at Kunstmuseum Den Haag, showing Eikelboom’s magnet paintings for the first time in a solo museum show.
