On 10 December, he urban snowboard event Rock A Rail will again take place in the city centre of The Hague. This unique snowboard event, on the Grote Markt, can rightly be called special because of its location and the high level of national and international riders.
Unique spectacle in the city centre of The Hague
Urban- or street snowboarding is a form of snowboarding in which snowboarders (riders) use elements from the city to snowboard. These include stairs, railings, walls, fences and pavements. Street snowboarding is a discipline underlying Olympic slopestyle snowboarding, which combines rails and ramps.
Those who are not yet familiar with Rock A Rail can expect a snowboarding spectacle in the middle of The Hague's city centre. Complete with musical entertainment, the best urban snowboarders from home and abroad, a frenzied crowd and relaxed atmosphere. Unique to this event is of course the fact that a snowboard event, with real snow and world-class riders, is being organised in the Netherlands.
