From Saturday 10 August up to and including Sunday 8 September 2019, the exhibition To Holland. Repatriation, flight of flight? Can be seen in the Atrium of the City Hall of The Hague.
To Holland was developed by the design agency Making Waves for the Tong Tong Fair. The exhibition was shown at the 60th Tong Tong Fair last year and has made a big impression.
The exhibition is about the repatriation of Indo-Europeans in the period 1952-1956 and focuses on the question why these Dutch people decided to go back to the Netherlands.
To Holland is about the repatriation of Indo-Europeans in the period 1952-1956. Why did these Dutch people exchange motherland Indonesia for fatherland Netherlands? Were they returnees, migrants or refugees?

National Memorial August 15, 1945
This exhibition can be seen around the National Remembrance that is held yearly on 15 August. The official end of the Second World War for the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Yearly all victims of the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies and the approach come together on this day at the Indisch Monument in The Hague.
