Winter Market in the Court Quarter
Sunday 8 December, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hofkwartier Den Haag
Winter market in the historical Court Quarter (Hofkwartier) of The Hague! The atmospheric Christmas market will take place again this year around the Big Church (Grote Kerk): in Prinsestraat, Molstraat, Papestraat, Molenstraat and Annastraat you can find countless cosy stalls and wooden houses full of lovely gifts, fashion, accessories, trinkets and treats. The ideal opportunity to shop for unique Christmas gifts!
Hofkwartier
The neighbourhood where Marché Royal takes place is called Hofkwartier. The name Hofkwartier (Court Quarter) says it all. Beautiful streets with old bricks and gables capture the imagination and revive bygone times. In addition to admiring the architecture, enjoy the unique merchandise in this small district with plenty of allure. Although this luxury shopping street is also home to the working palace of King William Alexander, inhabitants of The Hague are familiar with chic Noordeinde primarily because of its characteristic fashion boutiques, galleries, antique and art stores. If you see a large car with an AA registration plate it means that Queen Maximá or her family are doing their 'own' shopping.
Getting there
Hofkwartier is located in the city centre of The Hague, which is easily accessible by car and public transport. Car park Torengarage and City Parking are within walking distance of the Marché Royal. Those who prefer to take public transport can take a tram from The Hague Central Station. You will find yourself in the charming inner city in less than a five minutes.
