A dark December evening, winter cold, passion and romance from bygone eras combined with state-of-the-art lighting techniques: Scheveningen Light Walk. A new walking event through the Hague resort, where you will feel as if you have landed in a wonderful fairytale world. There are different distances: 7.5 km, 12.5 km and 18.5 km. Start at Scheveningen Pier, walk along the beach, through the dunes, forest, parks, famous Scheveningen districts, the harbour and then finish at De Pier. During the Scheveningen Light Walk you will encounter spectacular light, sound and fire acts, in which various Scheveningen artists collaborate.
The two longest distances start on the boulevard in front of De Pier and take you over the beach, through dunes, woods, parks, famous Scheveningen districts, the harbour and right through Madurodam to the finish at De Pier. The 7.5-kilometer walking tour departs from Madurodam. At the starting point you can also collect your unique SLW backpack that includes a start ticket, route map and cap with LED lighting.
The Scheveningen Light Walk is open to a limited number of participants. To prevent traffic congestion as much as possible en route, starting groups depart between 16.30 and 19.00. You can choose the group you want to start in when you register. Each group has a maximum number of participants. You can always start later than your assigned start time, but not before.
You finish again at De Pier. After the finish you will receive a special keepsake. All participants must be finished by 11 p.m.
Would you like to eat something before you go on your walk? De Pier has put together a lovely little walking dinner for you at various eateries. If you would like to take advantage of this, please indicate this during registration.
You can register for the Scheveningen Light Walk via scheveningenlightwalk.eu. Do not wait too long to register, because full really means full!
