This winter Scheveningen is again the place to be for the ultimate winter sport experience. From 9 November 2019 to 26 January 2020 The Hague's beach resort is transformed into a true winter wonderland called Cool Event with several activities.
Kurhausplein on Ice
In front of the famous Kurhaus Hotel you will find the beautiful 600 square metre covered ice skating rink. The skating rink is open every day from 10.00 to 22.00 hrs. Admission to the ice skating rink costs 5 Euro. Skates are available for hire.
From Saturday 7 December to Sunday 12 January you can see beautiful ice sculptures in the 500 m² large cooled tent. You can find the ice sculptures in the large cooled tent on the beach of Scheveningen next to De Pier. Tip: Dress warmly, because inside it is -10 degrees!
A warm drink
Take a seat at one of the outdoor cafes (with heating) around the square and enjoy a delicious meal or glass of mulled wine or mug of hot chocolate. This winter the restaurants around the square are offering the Kurhausplein deal with meals and ice skating (including the skate rental).
Why not organise your children's party at Cool Event? After a couple of hours of winter fun on the ice skating rink, children can enjoy preparing their own meal in one of the nearby restaurants. They can flip pancakes at Toff or bake their own pizza with their favourite toppings at La Galleria Boulevard. There are also combinations possible with ice skating and a film or glow-in-the-dark midget golf. Just contact the organization of Cool Event Scheveningen!
