The Hague, the only large Dutch city at sea, celebrates the summer with BonFire Beach Fest, a large multiple day event that will put Scheveningen on fire. From 20 til 22 April, the beach changes into a large open and free festival area. Young and old will be entertained with several cultural, musical, culinary and sport activities. Next to the Pier there wil be a Music Stage with awesome performances. Near beach club WIJ you will find Festival Village with different sport and game activities. On the Zwarte Pad there will be Campfire Sessions by Night by singer-songwriters.

Feest aan Zee 
It was exactly 200 years ago that Jacobus Pronk built the first bathhouse at Scheveningen, a small wooden construction containing four seawater bathtubs. This made Scheveningen the first seaside resort in the Netherlands. The entire city will be celebrating with festivals, exhibitions and shows, and that’s just for starters. The Volvo Ocean Race is coming to The Hague, and 11 huge sand sculptures will be created on Lange Voorhout during the World Championship Sand Sculpting.
