The exhibition Wind Music in Images can be seen in the Atrium Den Haag until Friday December 14th. The exhibition is part of the Blazen aan het Spui festival, which will take place from December 7 until 9 in The Hague, and on Saturday December 8 two concerts will take place in the Atrium, De Meij’s Madurodam en In de ban van de Meij
Blazen aan het Spui brings a homage to the wind music world with unique images from the Hague Image Bank of the Hague Municipal Archive. Thus the connection is made between Hague wind music from the past and present. At the same time, the icons of international wind music are honored: the Royal Military Chapel Johan Willem Friso, rooted in The Hague and Assen, and the composer Johan de Meij, born in Voorburg; exponents and ambassadors of the Hague music scene.
