Atmosphere Hortus is located in a stately building from 1920, which originally served as a bank. The interior of the restaurant is bright and spacious, with green and warm tones. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, with enough space between the tables. Hortus looks directly out over the bustling Anna Paulownaplein.
Anna Paulownaplein Anna Paulownaplein in The Hague is an intimate town square where you can enjoy a good drink in passing or an extensive dinner. Several houses houses on the square are constructed in a Neo-Renaissance style with many Art Nouveau details, a combination that is very common in The Hague.
Accessibility By car you can reach the Anna Paulownaplein through the Zeestraat and the Laan van Meerdervoort. Parking is paid on virtually all streets in the Zeeheldenkwartier. Since the square is located in a residential area, it is better to use public transport. Tram 16 and tram 1 stop in walking distance of restaurant Hortus.
