Since July 2015 the Pier in The Hague's beach resort Scheveningen is reopened to the public. The Pier has become a real food boulevard with restaurants and cafes. The cozy bars from Kust ('Coast') are located on the lower and upper deck of the Pier. From the upper terrace you can enjoy the beautiful sea view while enjoying delicacies from the Dutch cuisine. On one side you see the beach and the promenade of Scheveningen. On the other hand, you can watch the daredevils bungee jumping.
Used vintage materials
The bars of Kust are made of recycled material from the Pier. Sturdy wooden scaffold boards, which are used for many years in the salty sea breeze, decorate the outside of the bar. The patio furniture is also made of used wood scaffolding. Ornaments, relics and old furniture, from the old interior of the Pier, complete the styling of the restaurant. The kitchen serves typical Dutch snacks as home made meatballs, sandwiches but also a roasted chicken from the grill.
