The Walk in The Hague specialises in custom-made shoes for men. The Walk custom-made shoes are entirely handmade on lasts made specifically for you based on your foot measurement. You can design your custom-made shoes yourself choosing from a range of models and types of leather. Visit The Walk to have your feet measured. It will only take around twenty minutes!
Models From classic brogues to cool Chelsea boots, The Walk offers a wide range of more than twenty models for you to choose from. You can pick out both the model as well as the type of leather that you would like your shoes to be made of. You can also decide the colour of the sole, the laces and the type of heel, all of which contributes to making your shoes completely personal.
Materials and methods The Walk custom-made shoes are 100% handmade using the best English, Italian and French leather. The heels come from Germany while the soles are made from durable Argentine leather and are sewn by hand following the Goodyear method, the traditional way of making classic gentlemen’s shoes.
Artisan shoemakers The Walk custom-made shoes are entirely handmade in India. Traditional shoemaking was introduced to local artisans under British rule. Today, this tradition continues with a handful of artisan shoemakers. The Walk is proud to work with a small, fourth-generation family company that still manufactures custom-made shoes by hand. One of the founders of The Walk discovered this family company while living in India and since the founding of the shop in The Hague, regular trips to the studio in India have continued.
Price The Walk custom-made shoes cost between €400 and €600. The cost for measuring and making the lasts involve a one-off fee of €100. Delivery time is around 10 to 12 weeks.

Mijn eerste ervaring met The Walk is fantastisch. Men neemt alle tijd bij het opnemen van de maat. Daarnaast houden Jan Pieter en Daan je goed op de hoogte mbt de status en het uiteindelijke resultaat mag er zeer zeker zijn. Chapeau!
