Imagine yourself strolling these beautiful grounds in the late 1800s. How idyllic a setting. Ships passing through. Accents from far away locales. The grounds and home are open for visits and have interesting information about the former inhabitants and their lives. Easily accessible by public transportation and by bike. The Westvliet runs at the back of the home. This is often the site for reenactments and is occasionally used for sculpture displays.

This is a gem alongside the Vliet canal in Voorburg, the former residence of Constantijn Huygens is now a small yet very interesting museum. The gardens are beautiful and quiet.

Great place to visit. Get an impression of how Huygens and his family lived in their summerhouse.
