A member of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World, Hotel Des Indes has a rich history spanning 140 years. The property was originally built in 1858 for King William III's treasurer, Baron van Brienen, before being converted into a hotel in 1881.
Each of the 92 distinguished rooms and suites reflect the authentic character of the hotel, combined with luxurious amenities. In 2004, the hotel started a major renovation under the expert supervision of the French interior designer Jacques Garcia. Garcia restored the hotel to its former glory with an eye for its historic character and preservation of many authentic details.
In the heart of the hotel is the Lounge and the Des Indes restaurant where guests can enjoy the dishes of Executive Chef Roel Gilissen, which are inspired by French gastronomy.
The Health Club has a gym and a luxury spa with Swedish sauna, steam bath, solarium and a swimming pool with jet stream. Our wellness treatments include body and beauty treatments such as massages, scrubs, manicures and pedicures.
Due to its central location in The Hague, the hotel is within walking distance of several local attractions such as museums, the Royal Palace, lush parks and popular shopping streets, but also only 10 minutes divide you from Scheveningen beach.
