The former Winter Palace of Queen Mother Emma is a royal setting for the permanent exhibition of the world-renowned artist and graphic artist M.C. Escher.
A visit
Escher in Het Paleis has a lot to offer. Enjoy the stylish interior of the City Palace, where Queen Mother Emma moved in 1901 after the wedding of her daughter Wilhelmina: the chandeliers by Hans van Benthem, the floors by Donald Judd, and the beautiful staircase. And of course, the Op Art Collection. Museum Escher in Palast offers the perfect mix between old and new art and at the same time is an ode to the work of the exceptional graphic artist M.C. Escher.
