STET English Theatre - Storytelling Festival
An unrequited love, a sip of whiskey, undisturbed sleep, an unborn child, a warming hug, a bite of a fresh strawberry, the sun directly on your skin…. People long for a lot and have many unanswered desires! That is the wonderful theme of The STET Storytelling Festival. From 25 to 27 November, Zaal 3 will be under the spell of storytelling.
Nasim's desire for a man is discussed in Four Weddings (and an Iranian funeral). From his first kiss to saying goodbye to his parents. Some of the stories are happy, some are tragic, all are told with a great love for the people Nasim has met along the way and the ones he had to leave behind.
The multi award-winning British storyteller James Rowland made a show about his desire for friendship. As a lonely, unhappy teenager he met a scary old lady who lived in the spooky house on his street. The two became friends and he helped her with her desire to get high before she died...
There will be a unique storytelling show of the award-winning documentary maker Hadas Neuman, who is on a mission to find different ways in which she can use unpredictability as a narrative tool to reclaim the spectacle of everyday life.
More shows will still be anouned. Storytelling festival directors Raphael Rodan and Sahand Sahebdivani offer an interesting workshop and host a thought-provoking talk.
