Here to Move You
Korzo is one of the most pioneering theatres in the Netherlands, right in the heart of The Hague. Audiences are being moved, challenged, and inspired to see the world differently. Experience circus that balances on the edge of the unknown, theatre that speaks without words, music that creates its own rules, and dance that continually opens up new possibilities. Together with the city, Korzo sets a hopeful future in motion, and it is something you do not want to miss.
Where to Move You?
Korzo is located at Prinsestraat 42, a lively shopping street where you can sample flavours from around the world in welcoming eateries, find excellent coffee on every corner, and browse everything from stylish fashion boutiques to antique shops, art galleries, and popular hair salons. The Korzo bar is also a place where The Hague comes to life, serving coffee from a local roastery, craft beer from Kompaan, and soft drinks made from rescued fruit.
Here to Move the City
With adventurous festivals such as Cirque Mania, TAIFUN, and CaDance, Korzo helps make this beautiful city by the sea even more vibrant. Through close collaborations with partners such as Royal Conservatoire The Hague, Netherlands Dance Theatre, and Rewire, Korzo also contributes to a thriving creative ecosystem in The Hague where diverse talent can flourish.
Here to Move Artists
Korzo produces some of its own theatre and dance works with a diverse group of talented creators from around the world: its in-house makers. They experiment, push the boundaries of artistic disciplines, and challenge themselves to look beyond limits and conventions. In Korzo’s studios, they develop their own artistic voice and receive professional guidance in creating authentic and socially relevant dance performances. Their productions then tour across the Netherlands and throughout Europe, leaving a lasting impression wherever they go.
Here to Move Talent
Want to get moving yourself and develop your talent? At Korzo, you can join open dance classes every Saturday led by Amos Ben-Tal. Are you between 15 and 25 years old? Then you can also take part in Get Moving, Korzo’s talent development programme. Together with fellow dancers and under the guidance of professional choreographers, you will create and perform your own dance production.
Here to Move History
For more than 40 years, Korzo has been the place for bold creators and curious audiences. What began in 1984 as a squatted building on Prinsestraat has grown into a vibrant theatre that has become an essential part of the city’s cultural landscape. Following a major renovation in 2011, Korzo acquired its current look: soaring concrete walls, bright open spaces, and subtle references to the former Protestant church that once stood on the site. The building reflects Korzo’s open-minded perspective on the city, the arts, and the future.
