Yi Jun, a Korean judge, died in 1907 in the then Hotel De Jong in the Wagenstraat. Together with two other Koreans, he had gone to the Second World Peace Conference in The Hague. Yi Jun, who was not admitted to the conference, was found dead in Wagenstraat. His mysterious death made him famous in Korea. The museum displays messages of peace and personal belongings of Yi Jun.
The entire building is owned by Mr. Lee and has been restored and restored to its original state in collaboration with the Korean government, embassy and the municipality of The Hague. Yi Jun was reburied with a state funeral in Korea.
Known by all Koreans, the museum is always visited by high-quality Korean delegations and authorities, including successive Korean presidents and politicians. Very interesting meetings are held in the museum every year.
