Marcello's Art Factory First Floor is all about making people happy with an image. A lot has been happening at the company of the well-known artist couple Marcello & Els from The Hague since 1985: the Rock History Tour and rock 'n roll exhibitions, artwork shops and lessons, assignments for (rock) portraits and, for example, logos. Portraying all players of the first team of ADO Den Haag. Be sure to take a look at the gallery on the Koningin Emmakade in the cozy Zeeheldenkwartier!
Hague
This typical Hague company is located on the edge of the center. The owners, the well-known artist couple Marcello & Els, are best known to the general public for their drawn football portraits of the players of ADO Den Haag. There are now several hundred portraits of their hand in the Bingoal Stadium.
Rock History Tour
The Rock History Tour, a bus tour with live music on board along places that were, or are, important for the pop history of The Hague. The tour guides are Peter de Ronde (ex Golden Earrings) and Marcello.
Art is of course made in the Factory. On commission, (rock) portraits are drawn and painted, illustrations are made and logos are occasionally designed. If there is time left, work will be done on a series of works of art about pop history in The Hague. You can go to the studio for painting and drawing lessons or do an artwork shop with a group. Marcello has rightly said for years "Our core business is making someone happy with an image."
Accessibility
Marcello's Art Factory First Floor can be reached very easily from The Hague Central Station with Randstadrail 3 (stop Van Speijkstraat). Tram 16 (stop Waldeck Pyrmontkade / Koningin Emmakade) and tram 11 (stop Laan van Meerdervoort) also stop nearby. If you come by car, keep in mind that the gallery is located in a residential area where parking is paid (in the evening).
