In their duo show ‘The Logic of Turbulence’ at Galerie Maurits van de Laar, Karin van Dam and Martin Fenne delve into the changing dynamics of nature
Work constructed from satin ribbon strips
Karin van Dam focuses on the micro-world of cellular structures, the building blocks of nature that she depicts in graphite drawings and black spatial objects. Martin Fenne's work, on the other hand, is a sophisticated play of colour in which he evokes the four elements of water, fire, earth and air. Each work is composed of strips of satin ribbon sewn together one by one in a labour-intensive process
