The Hague appeal for Mother Earth
Preview screening of our next film ‘Amazonia, Heart of Mother Earth’ and a meeting with the director Gert-Peter Bruch, the Maasai chief Magdalene Kaitei and other special guests to educate and engage young people in the defence of indigenous territories and and environmental protection.
On the occasion of COP29 (Baku, Azerbaijan) and after Brussels and London in June, the Planète Amazone team is bringing together an exceptional panel and invites you to come and meet them to discuss and discover for the very first time in The Hague and in preview its film ‘Amazonia, Heart of Mother Earth’.
The film, which will be launched in spring 2025, is directed by Gert-Peter Bruch, president and founder of Planète Amazone, and Princess Esmeralda of Belgium, and features the participation of numerous indigenous leaders, environmentalists and artists. Through the emotion it conveys and the messages it conveys, it serves as the basis for an impact tour designed to engage young people and the international community.
The tour starts at the beginning of November and will visit around fifteen universities and high schools in four European countries throughout the month, before resuming next year with a stop at COP30 in Belém (Amazonia).
The screening will be followed by a discussion with :
- MAGDALENE KAITEI, Chief of the Maasai people (Kenya),
- MAURICIO YEKUANA, Director of the NGO Yanomami Hutukara (Brazil),
- Princess ESMERALDA OF BELGIUM, Co-Director,
- and GERT-PETER BRUCH, Founder of Planète Amazone and co-director.
The event is organized by Planète Amazone and The Hague High School, in partnership with the Leopold III Fund, Emayian and Hutukara Associacio Yanomami.
