Scenes from a Marriage: a lovestory between film and video
West The Hague features the new compact exhibition focusing on the relationship between film and video. This exhibition explores the decades-long interaction between the two media, portraying film as the grand master of the moving image and video as its rebellious counterpart.
Featuring works by Neïl Beloufa, Ulises Carrión, Giovanni Giaretta, Rä di Martino, Raphael Montañez Ortiz and Manuel Saiz, six video works show how film and video challenge, reinforce and complement each other. The result is a dynamic dialogue in which both media dance with each other as partners who cannot live without, but sometimes also cannot live with, each other.
The exhibition ‘Scenes from a Marriage: A Lovestory Between Film and Video’ is the fourth part in the ‘Part Four of Many Parts’ series and offers visitors a unique look at the mutual relationship and evolution of these two powerful art forms.
