BIG BANG Festival 2025

BIG BANG Festival is coming to Amare on Sunday 13 April! This international music festival is a festive ode to adventurous music and sound art for young people, but of course everyone is welcome.

About the festival

During this vibrant festival, children from 5 years onwards can learn about music in many ways; through performances, hands-on activities and much more.

Programme

Big Bang Festival's programme includes the following performances and activities:

  • Music Rooms (5+) - The Music Rooms are a legendary part of the BIG BANG Festival! This musical journey of discovery through Amare's hidden rooms and exciting nooks and crannies, where you can't normally go, delivers wonderful surprises.
  • Adoration (7+) - For the first time, double bass soloist James Oesi and pianist Djuwa Mroivili work together. With an extraordinary programme full of well-known and lesser-known classical repertoire. 
  • MILE(S)TONES (6+) - In MILE(S)TONES, a percussionist, a pianist and trumpeter take you into the fascinating world of legendary American jazz composer and trumpeter Miles Davis.
  • roundABOUT (6+) - Take a seat in the arena and enter the magical world of percussionist Tsubasa Hori.
  • Snorhair (ALL) This funny looking object is an instrument. It looks a bit like a headphone. You can hear the structures of the ground with it. Put it on your head, walk around quietly and hear a new world of sound!
  • Wobbly World - A sonic playground where visitors of all ages are invited to explore movement, balance and gravity through sound and listening.

These Birds are Flying to the North (First floor)

Immerse yourself in the liveliest of aviaries! The sound of your footsteps will trigger a bird’s tweet, setting off another and another and so on! These unique and unusual birds have come from far to enchant and interact with you, so don’t disappoint them! Step into their world, but be quick, before they fly off again!
