NN CPC Loop Den Haag

The 50th edition of the NN City Pier City Loop Den Haag will take place on Sunday 15 March 2026. This family event in The Hague attracts tens of thousands of participants and visitors every year. There will be a lot of interest in this fast NN Half Marathon, both nationally and internationally. However, there is much more than that. The NN CPC Run The Hague can rightly be called a tradition. It also houses the largest school run in the Netherlands with thousands of children from almost 100 schools.

Distances during the City Pier City Loop

NN Half Marathon
One of the most popular parts of the NN CPC Loop The Hague is the NN Half Marathon. Many personal records are set every year on this fast course.

10 km Run
In recent years, the 10 km Run has become a very popular event. The 10 km Run starts before the NN Half Marathon.

5 km Run
Have you just started running and are you looking for a fun challenge? Then take part in the 5 km run.

Gro-up Youth Run (2.5 km)
The Gro-up is intended to introduce young people (aged 8 to 12) to running. Along the 2.5 km course, there are many enthusiastic spectators cheering you on, encouraging everyone to reach the finish line!

Gro-up Youth Run (1 km)
For the youngest children (up to 10 years old), there is the Gro-up Youth Run (1 km). During this cheerful event, the children are cheered on by the many spectators and entertainers Ernst & Bobbie (known from TV and theatre). Prior to the Gro-up Youth Run, the TV heroes will lead a warm-up with well-known songs and dances.

Fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers are allowed to participate in this event as companions. They will receive a special coach race number, which is extra special because it has your own name on it! This only applies to individual participants, not to participants in the School Run.

CPC4ALL
The CPC4ALL is an experience for anyone who, for whatever reason, is unable to participate in one of the existing parts of the NN CPC Loop Den Haag. The CPC4ALL is for participants with a disability who want to complete the same course as the participants in the 1 km race, but in an alternative way. Participants may use a balance bike, wheelchair, hand bike, etc., provided that it is an aid to mobility.

How do you get to the NN CPC Loop?

The start/finish of the NN CPC Loop is at Malieveld. The NN CPC Loop The Hague attracts tens of thousands of participants and visitors every year. Due to the crowds, the organisers and the municipality recommend travelling by bicycle or public transport.

Are you coming to the NN CPC Loop by train? It is a five-minute walk from Central Station to Malieveld. There is a bicycle parking facility next to the festival site at Malieveld.

Are you going to cheer someone on?

Then arrive well in advance to get a good spot. From 12 noon, the HTM will make room for the CPC Loop and some trams will be diverted. Are you coming by car after all?  Park your car on the outskirts of the city in one of the car parks or P+R locations.

During the 10-kilometre run and the half marathon, parts of the route will be closed off half an hour before the runners arrive. Traffic will be diverted to ensure the safety of all participants, supporters and residents of The Hague. Once all runners have passed, the road closures will be lifted. There will also be a number of permanent road closures:

  • Koningskade, between Bosbrug and Zuid-Hollandlaan: closed in both directions between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

  • Traffic on Zuid-Hollandlaan in the direction of Scheveningen can continue to drive throughout the day.

Please note: the Koningstunnel will be closed between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the direction of Koningskade and Bezuidenhoutseweg. From Voorhout, it will still be possible to turn right into the tunnel in the direction of Lekstraat/Binckhorst.

  • via Binckhorstlaan - Mercuriusweg - Neherkade - Calandstraat, Vaillantlaan
    via Lekstraat-Weteringkade-towards Rijswijkseplein
from Lekstraat, turn left towards Schedeldoekshaven

Signs will indicate the diversions.

Are you travelling by car during the CPC Loop? Then choose routes outside the city centre and Scheveningen. Follow the instructions of the traffic controllers and the messages on the digital signs. If possible, plan your journey before 10:00 or after 17:00, or choose alternative transport.
