Kamerkoor Vox Antiqua - GloriaMore
In the depths of winter, when spring still seems far away, Chamber Choir Vox Antiqua, conducted by Peter van der Leeuw, will give a vibrant concert on Saturday 15 February at 8pm in the Ichthuskerk, Duinkerksestraat 9 in Scheveningen. ‘GloriAmore’ sings not only of the glory of God, but also of love.
Antonio Vivaldi composed the energetic Gloria. The choir is accompanied by two soloists and the ConcertoValiante team, which specialises in baroque music. In addition, worldly love is sung in all keys. Featuring works by Sweelinck, Monteverdi, Dowland and Lassus, among others.
Chamber choir Vox Antiqua focuses on the performance of music from the period from roughly 1200 to 1700. Works by composers such as Hildegard of Bingen, Thomas Morley, Josquin de Prez and Henry Purcell are also performed regularly. It is a colourful group in early music, well worth getting to know more closely.
