Shopping at Haagse Markt four days a week
The Haagse Markt is one of Europe's largest multicultural markets. Antique, exotic, modern, cheap, unique: here the merchandise reflects the multicultural population of the city of The Hague. Stroll through the food section where Dutch cauliflower sits convivially next to fresh ketoembar, baklava, sharon fruit, fresh fish or garter. Marvel at the extensive flower market and feast your eyes on the clothes and shoes section.

Fresher than fresh: you'll find it at the Haagse Markt!
History of The Hague Market
The Haagse Markt is also known as the Haagse Mart. In the past, the market was also regularly called De Maag. Until May 1938, The Hague Market could be found on Prinsengracht. Exotic fruits were sold there as early as 1920. In 1938, due to increasing traffic, the market was moved to its current location on Herman Costerstraat, between the Transvaal and Schilderswijk districts. Since 2015, The Hague Market has been renovated. The walkways have been widened and new covered fixed units have been built.

Feel welcome to experience the magic of this unique market.
