Wachtkamer Hollands Spoor - Den Haag

This spring, the royal waiting room at Hollands Spoor Station in The Hague will be temporarily opened. Led by an enthusiastic guide, the tour will give you a unique insight into the royal family's travel past.

Hidden at Hollands Spoor station

Did you know that a beautiful royal waiting room is hidden at Hollands Spoor station? During its grand opening on 5 October 1893, Princess Wilhelmina and Queen Regent Emma called the royal waiting room in The Hague a "jewel to the residence".

The waiting room offers a unique insight into the royal family's travel history. This hidden royal gem was invisible to the public for a long time, but after extensive restoration, it is now accessible to visitors again.

  • Guided tours take place on selected Sundays between 7 September and 2 November, including Prinsjesdag (16 September) and Monday 15 September.
  • The tours last thirty minutes and can be booked between 9.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and between 1.30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • The tour is in Dutch.
