Pride The Hague will be back in 2026! From May 8 to 16, rainbow flags will once again be flying everywhere.

Pride The Hague 2026

From 8 to 16 May, The Hague will be entirely dedicated to Pride The Hague, making it the first city in the Netherlands to kick off the Pride season, with an extensive programme full of events, performances, a queer market and the annual Pride Walk through the city centre. Pride Week opens at Amare and concludes with the Pride Party on the Koekamp, themed ‘Proud to be United’, featuring new initiatives such as the Pride Connect platform and the Sharing Stories page, which make the queer community visible and connected.

Programme

Friday 8 May: Pride Opening

Pride The Hague will be festively opened on Friday evening, 8 May, at Amare in The Hague, with an inspiring programme and space for socialising. Before and after the opening, visitors can visit the community-focused queer market, where queer organisations, artists and national initiatives from The Hague will present themselves and engage with the public.

Saturday 9 May: Pride Walk and Party

The Pride Walk is a festive and demonstrative parade that draws attention to equal rights, visibility and acceptance of the queer community, featuring a colourful procession and a 25-metre-long rainbow flag. The route starts at the International Homomonument on the Koekamp, passes through the city centre, including the Grote Markt, the Town Hall and Amare, and ends back at the Koekamp with the Pride Party.

Complementary programme

COC Haaglanden has taken the initiative for Pride The Hague, but they cannot do it alone. The goal? A powerful, diverse and inclusive programme by and for the entire queer community in the city.
