Celebrate democracy!
Prinsjesfestival takes place annually in The Hague, in the week leading up to and on Prinsjesdag. The festival focuses on the celebration of democracy. A society in which everyone counts and matters.
The programme combines in-depth content with festive activities. This creates an event accessible to everyone: from those interested in politics to visitors who come to The Hague mainly for the fun. From students to families. And of course the political leaders will not be missing. Curious about more? Check out the programme!
Free together, strong together
Princes Festival 2025 is all about freedom. ‘Free together, strong together; celebrate democracy!’. In Dutch society, you have the freedom to speak out, demonstrate and participate in society. This is a great thing, but it also brings responsibilities. With the growth of polarisation and a public debate often characterised by distrust, paying attention to what unites us in this democracy is more important than ever. Engage in a conversation about freedom and justice. What are you willing to contribute to preserve it?
Prince's Festival Programme highlights
