How can a dead mall exist in the middle of very lively neighborhood? Went there for quick shopping in Kruidvat and Hema, but more than that there is nothing.

The palace promenade is an indoor mall right next to the beach of Scheveningen. Next to shops you can also find an arcade where a lot of young people go to play games. The stores are mostly geared towards tourists and people that make day trips. As expected the food inside is more expensive than in a store not located so close to the beach.

Scheveningen is one of the ugliest seaside resorts in the world. Original grandeur with gorgeous nineteenth century architecture has been turned into a concrete waste land. This 'promenade' with its hilarious name, is a prime example. It would be a huge blessing for Scheveningen if it were demolished tomorrrow but I doubt the city council has sufficient imagination for a suitable replacement. It's a disgrace.

Went to a clothing shop here. We were trying to be courteous, but the shop owner was incredibly rude and moody. I would not recommend shopping for clothes here.

Tranquil and Quiet in the Morning, Amazing Hustle & Bustle in the evening/weekends. The Breeze, The Sea Gulls and The Views are Overwhelming.
