This statue of Juliana van Stolberg marks the commemorative location for over 500 victims of an erroneous bombardment of Bezuidenhout by the British air force on 3 March 1945. It was located in the centre of an area that took heavy damage, but remained almost unscathed.
When Bezuidenhout was being rebuilt, it was decided to move the monument to the Koningin Marialaan.
The monument represents Juliana van Stolberg and five of her sons. One of them is William I (William the Silent or William van Orange). He is on his mother’s right.
