Then brave the high waves and sail across the ocean to New Amsterdam. Your adventure continues along hidden paths: you climb and clamber through colourful paintings in De Hollandse Meesters. And do you dare to take on the Woeste Waterwolf? Together, start up the largest steam engine in the world and save the Netherlands from the water!

You can also enjoy yourself outdoors

The snow must go on! Wrap your scarf tightly around your neck and put on your gloves: that's how you get ready for exciting outdoor adventures. Whizz down the slides, jump over frozen streams and brave the play bridges in Rivierenland. Just like Hansje Brinker, stick your finger in the dike and save the Netherlands from an icy flood. Check how much cheese you weigh. Bet you can't lift three cheeses! And look there: DJ Armin van Buuren will also be there this winter! Step behind the turntables and mix your own winter hit. Who knows, you might knock Mariah Carey off the top spot: all you want for Christmas is Madurooooodaaaaam!

Dam Square sparkles in the Christmas lights, the canals are frozen, and look there: the Madurodammer people are busy doing their Christmas shopping at one of the miniature Christmas markets. How many mini Christmas trees can you count?

From the Christmas holidays (20 December to 4 January) and during all December weekends, you can enjoy extra treats such as warm fire pits, mulled wine and winter cocktails. Search for all the Miffy figures in the park or take the Sinterklaas tour! And who among you can roast their marshmallow over the fire without making a mess?

The giant Christmas tree at the entrance is impossible to miss this year. Put on your best Christmas jumper and capture your family moment. Say freeze!
