Jubilantly into the summer!!
Excelsior will perform the first part of Die Schöpfung by Joseph Haydn. This beautiful music will be supplemented with the Magnificat and Heilig ist Gott by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. At the beginning of summer, this will be particularly sparkling and joyful music.
CPE Bach, the most famous son of Johann Sebastian
The first part of Die Schöpfung tells about the creation of light, heaven and earth. This is followed by two beautiful pieces by CPE Bach, the most famous son of Johann Sebastian. This concert will take place in the historic Kloosterkerk on the Lange Voorhout in The Hague.
For almost 145 years, Excelsior, one of the three major classical choirs in The Hague, has been a permanent fixture in The Hague's cultural life. Due to the special bond that the singers have with each other, with the music and with the conductor, new members also feel at home very quickly. This warmth and bond resonate in the music.
