Latin in The Park is back with a vibrant tribute to Colombian salsa. Grupo Chontaduro, led by bandleader Nique Quintin, together with renowned singers Alberto Caicedo and Nando Vanin, brings the authentic energy of Colombia to the Zuiderparktheater. Get ready for a captivating evening full of dance, music and Latin American culture.
This edition is entirely dedicated to the unique salsa style from Colombia, recognizable by its rousing rhythms and vibrant sound. Grupo Chontaduro, the only Dutch orchestra that focuses entirely on the Colombian salsa repertoire, returns after their successful 2024 performance with a completely renewed program. The musicians pay tribute to iconic groups such as Grupo Niche, Fruko y Sus Tesos, Guayacán Orquesta, The Latin Brothers and Joe Arroyo. Expect classics like "Cali Pachanguero", "Buscandote" and "En Barranquilla Me Quedo".
Dance workshop
The evening begins with a Salsa Choke dance workshop by Colombian dancer Abdel Camilo from Cali. Then Grupo Chontaduro takes the stage for a live performance that hits you right in the heart. To close, DJ Juan Pachanga provides a dance floor full of sizzling Colombian rhythms that will keep you moving deep into the night.
