Pocklington School Music Tour Ensemble in concert
The Pocklington School Music Tour Ensemble brings together a dynamic group of students drawn from the school’s wide-ranging musical activities, including orchestras, bands, and smaller ensembles. Each performer contributes not only skill but enthusiasm, reflecting the strong musical culture that runs through the school.
Music from Pocklington School
Pocklington School is situated in East Yorkshire and has been in existence for over 500 years. Music has long played an important role within the school. The school has a history of music tours, and this ensemble is continuing that tradition.
The pupils rehearse regularly and perform both within the school and in the local community. In doing so, they develop their musical skills, ensemble playing and stage experience. This tour is the result of their preparation and hard work.
What can you expect?
The programme features a variety of musical styles. The ensemble performs classical music, film scores, jazz and contemporary pieces. During the concert, the pupils share their enjoyment of making and performing live music together.
