Het Akkertje Children's Farm is located in the middle of nature, on the boundary between The Hague and Rijswijk. The farm is home to many large and small animals. Come visit Het Akkertje and enjoy standing face to face with cows, donkeys, deer, sheep, goats, ducks, peacocks, rabbits and guinea pigs. Young lambs and goats are expected in early May each year. Besides admiring and striking the animals, there are lots of other games for children on site. Kids can play hopscotch on one of the four hopscotch courts, a life-sized chess game or mens-erger-je-niet (keep your cool, man) board games, play with the small wheelbarrows or tractors or help on the farm.
Directions
Het Akkertje Children's Farm can be reached by taking tram 17, and lines 1 and 15 also stop in the vicinity. Parking is restricted on site at Het Akkertje. Visitors are therefore advised to park in the surrounding streets.
