Billytown is an artist-run gallery and is investigating with her gallery the possibilities for an alternative financial method to make the initiative financially independent from subsidies.
It originated as an initiative and has since then organized presentations in its space several times. The initiative currently has 17 studios, an Artist In Residence, a bookshop (Billytown Bookshop), The Kitchen (a presentation space with more flexible programming for young emerging artists) and The Archives, Peter van Beveren Library.
