On the top platform, at 28 metres high, you have a unique 360-degree view. A panorama stretching from the Binnenhof to modern city developments. An ideal spot for taking photos!
Information boards on the landings provide more information about the history of the Binnenhof and its surroundings. On the roof of the construction site on Hofvijver next to the viewpoint, a special dune landscape is a surprising piece of nature in the inner city of The Hague.
The stairs and landings have a yellow accent colour. This makes the viewpoint a real eye-catcher. A cable net is stretched around the stairs and landings for safety. The construction is designed so that the viewpoint can be rebuilt somewhere else after the Binnenhof renovation.
Opening hours Binnenhof Viewpoint
The viewpoint is open daily from 9 am - 5 pm. Entry is free. No ticket or reservation is needed. Only in extreme weather (such as storms and thunderstorms) is the viewpoint closed.
The entrance is equipped with a turnstile to prevent it from getting too crowded. A maximum of 60 people can enter the viewpoint at a time. Above the entrance, it is stated how many more visitors can enter.
Unfortunately, the viewpoint has no lift; people with physical disabilities are welcome to visit the Information Centre Binnenhof Renovation at Plaats 22, less than 200 metres from the viewpoint.
Access
The Binnenhof Viewpoint can be found on the Buitenhof in The Hague, on the site of the equestrian statue of Willem II.
Tram 1 (Kneuterdijk stop) and trams 15 and 17 (Buitenhof stop) stop close to the viewpoint. From The Hague CS station, you can walk to the Buitenhof in about 15 minutes.
