Art Nouveau Festival, The Hague around 1900

This three-day event with various activities will highlight Art Nouveau in The Hague and the period around 1900. The programme has free, online, individual and paid activities. There are also English-language activities.  

The Hague of around 1900 was popping at the seams and overflowing with new insights and modern inspiration, reflected in all art forms: literature, music, visual arts, theatre and architecture. You could also call The Hague the Dutch capital of Art Nouveau. The upcoming edition of the Art Nouveau Festijn again features a great variety of activities that highlight Art Nouveau and bring to life the Hague of around 1900.

When you talk about Art Nouveau, you think of beautifully designed buildings and objects where 'craftsmanship' played a major role. This craftsmanship will be highlighted this year with lectures, workshops, demonstrations and a fashion show, among other things.

The complete programme will be published in mid-April.

10 June is World Art Nouveau Day.
