A photographic journey into the future of the ocean

During Blue Week 2026, two unique photo exhibitions will showcase the inspiring stories and real-world innovations shaping our oceans to life through powerful imagery. The exhibition can be seen for the first time in the Atrium City Hall from September 5 until September 25 and after that in Amare (October 4-7) and Provinciehuis Zuid-Holland (October 8 – beginning January).

Through a curated collection of high-quality photographs of Ocean Energy Europe members discover what’s already happening with wave energy, tidal energy, SWAC, and salinity gradient.

Exhibition Dutch offshore innovations shaping the future of the Blue Economy
This second exhibition, hosted by Bluespring, tells the broader story of Dutch offshore innovation.

Bring in the Dutch. From offshore renewable energy such as wave and tidal energy, to floating solar, energy storage, marine ecology, and the people behind it all, the exhibition shows how ocean innovation is already becoming part of everyday life in the Netherlands. It also highlights the wider innovation ecosystem around Scheveningen Harbour, where entrepreneurs are developing a wide range of sustainable, green and smart solutions for the future.

More than technology
The goal is to make ocean innovation visible, relatable, and inspiring. Rather than focusing only on technical details, it shows how these developments connect to our coasts, ports, cities, people and everyday lives.

Visitors should leave with a simple realization: the future of ocean innovation is not far away—it is already happening.
