Guided tour
The Hague Tower has meant a lot to The Hague. You can imagine that after a long history, there is plenty to tell. That's why you can climb the tower together with a guide. You won't go up in one go: at each of the 4 attics, you will pause and the guide will have time to tell you all about it. From the Hague Tower near the Grote Kerk (Big Church), you have the best view of the entire city. After climbing 288 steps, you are 92.5 metres high!

The Big Church
Together with the Binnenhof, the Grote or St Jacobskerk is among the oldest buildings in The Hague. A wooden church probably existed as early as the 13th century. From De Haagse Toren, the view over the city centre is magnificent. The Grote Kerk is also well worth a visit. The building has remained the property of the Protestant community, but is managed by the Stichting Grote of Sint-Jacobskerk, which makes the building available for events, social activities and viewing.
The Grote Kerk has strong ties with the royal family: several members of the royal family were baptised there and Queen Wilhelmina, Queen Juliana and Princess Margriet were married in the Grote Kerk.
