Step into a magical winter wonderland this Christmas with *The Snow Queen* at Amare The Hague. From 24 to 28 December, the Dutch Don’t Dance Division will bring Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fairy tale to life in a spectacular ballet performance. With over eighty dancers, stunning costumes and extraordinary sets, this is a festive family show for young and old alike.

An exciting fairy tale full of adventure and magic

The story centres on Gerda, who is trying to rescue her boyfriend Kai from the clutches of the ice-cold Snow Queen. She has frozen his heart and is holding him captive in her wintry world.

During her quest, Gerda encounters all sorts of extraordinary characters – from dangerous trolls and wolves to robbers who cross her path. Fortunately, she also receives help from animals and a kind prince and princess. Will Gerda manage to rescue Kai and thaw his heart once more?

A magical Christmas ballet for the whole family

Under the direction of choreographer Thom Stuart, De Dutch Don’t Dance Division brings a new version of this well-known fairy tale to the stage. The music by Finnish composer Tuomas Kantelinen, the fairy-tale costumes by Rinus Sprong and the impressive set and lighting design by Pink Steenvoorden ensure a truly special theatre experience.
