Pro-Now

For many trans and non-binary people, it’s a daily reality: being addressed with the wrong name or pronouns. This often happens not out of ill will, but out of unfamiliarity. Yet it makes a difference. Research shows that nearly 1 in 2 trans and non-binary people have thought about suicide in the past year. These figures show how crucial social support is. With words like they, she, them, or he, you let them know: I see you, I respect you.

In this exhibition which can be seen from Augustus 31 until September 30 in the Atrium City Hall, you’ll get to know eight gender-diverse individuals. You’ll learn their pronouns, but above all, their stories. Because they are more than their gender identity. Who are they in everyday life? What do they do, what do they dream of, what makes them happy? Going to school, working, spending time with friends or family. Enjoying the sun on a terrace, listening to music. Just like everyone else: living a good and happy life.
