Randa Mirza - Beirutopia
In Beirutopia, Lebanese photographer Randa Mirza examines the dramatic changes her hometown of Beirut has undergone. In recent decades, Lebanon has been ravaged by political, financial and social crises.
Beirutopia is a visual essay created from a biographical perspective. The exhibition presents several series, made between 2000 and 2022, that chart the brutal transformation of her hometown. Each time, Mirza carefully chooses a particular visual approach to express her experiences and feelings.
